Privacy Policy
Who we are
Cortex Channels ("we", "us") produces and publishes original video content on its own channels, including The Hypogeum and Twinkle Mini Tales. Cortex Publisher (the "App") is our internal tool for publishing that content to accounts we own and for reading how it performs. The App is used only by Cortex Channels. It is not offered to, and does not collect data from, members of the public.
What the App accesses
When we connect one of our own accounts to the App through the platform's official authorization (OAuth), the App receives and stores:
- Access and refresh tokens for that account, used only to publish and read data on our behalf.
- Basic profile information of our account (name, handle, profile picture, account ID).
- The videos, titles, descriptions and settings that we publish.
- Performance statistics of our own content (for example views, likes, comments, watch time, subscribers/followers).
The App does not access, collect or store personal data of viewers or of any other users of these platforms, beyond aggregated statistics the platforms provide about our own content.
Platforms we connect to
- YouTube (YouTube API Services): to upload and manage our videos and read our channel and video analytics. By using YouTube features you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- TikTok (Login Kit and Content Posting API): to publish our videos and read basic account information and statistics of our own account.
- Instagram and Facebook (Meta platform APIs): to publish our posts to our own Instagram account and Facebook Page and read their insights.
How we use the data
We use this data only to publish our own content and to measure how it performs so we can improve future videos. We do not sell, rent or share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google user data. The App's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage and security
Data is stored on infrastructure controlled by Cortex Channels. Tokens are stored encrypted or with access restricted to the App, and are transmitted only over HTTPS to the platforms above. We keep data only as long as the related account stays connected to the App.
Revoking access and deletion
Access can be revoked at any time from each platform:
- Google / YouTube: Google Account permissions
- TikTok: Settings and privacy, then Security, then Manage app permissions
- Meta: Facebook Business Integrations
When access is revoked or an account is disconnected, its tokens are deleted from the App. See Data deletion for how to request deletion of any stored data.
Children
Twinkle Mini Tales is content made for children and is published with the appropriate "made for kids" settings. The App does not collect any personal information from children or from any viewer.
